In addition to having to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars in judgments, Johnson & Johnson is now the subject of a criminal investigation by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).
The DOJ will reportedly seek answers as to whether or not J&J executives knowingly lied to the public about the possible cancer risks associated with the company’s talc-based baby powder products, which we now know were contaminated with cancer-causing asbestos chemicals.
As Natural News covered earlier this year, internal documents obtained by Reuters would seem to suggest that J&J knew its baby powder products were contaminated with asbestos, and yet lied about this to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
These documents prove that, at the very least, J&J was not forthcoming with the true contents of its baby powder products. And the DOJ will now probe what’s since been revealed to determine whether or not J&J committed criminal acts by continuing to sell asbestos-containing baby powder as “asbestos-free.”
“While baby powder only accounts for a small fraction of J&J revenues, it is a core brand and the criminal probe, which hasn’t been reported previously, coincides with a regulatory investigation and civil claims by thousands of cancer patients that J&J’s Baby Powder talc was responsible for their illness,” reports Zero Hedge.
“Now, a grand jury in Washington is examining documents related to what company officials knew about any carcinogens in their products, the people said.”

As all of this is going on, another division of J&J is unleashing an experimental ebola vaccine on the people of Uganda, whose neighbors in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are enduring yet another horrific ebola outbreak.
After DRC’s former health minister resigned for not accepting the experimental vaccine, Uganda was quick to a-okay it. According to the Agence France-Presse (AFP), at least 800 health workers in Uganda have received the vaccine, and many more will be receiving it over the next two years.
J&J is being joined by other major pharmaceutical and vaccine companies such as Merck & Co., creator of the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella. Merck developed and is now testing its own experimental ebola vaccine, as is GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), another major drug dealer.
Just two weeks before Uganda decided to accept J&J’s experimental ebola vaccine, it was revealed that J&J had already manufactured some 1.5 million doses of it. Since these had to go somewhere, Uganda was apparently the first to be hoodwinked into buying them for the sake of “public health.”
Merck is planning to distribute 900,000 doses of its experimental ebola vaccine to DRC in the next six to 18 months – this in addition to the 245,000 doses that are already reportedly in use.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) and Doctors Without Borders continue to pressure DRC officials to use J&J’s vaccine, which is a two-dose protocol. But DRC officials continue to resist it due to public skepticism about its safety and effectiveness.
“Many in DRC, and Africa generally, do not believe that Ebola is a naturally occurring virus,” reports Breitbart News, indicating that Africans don’t trust the government any more than “anti-vaxxers” do here in the United States.
“Many believe that Western aid workers deliberately inject people with Ebola to keep African populations low,” writes Frances Martel for Breitbart News.
“As a result, the many warring militias of North Kivu have attacked Ebola treatment centers and killed doctors and health workers, believing to be protecting the population.”
